Viva Mexico City!

On Sunday, February 24, we motored the 10 miles to Marina Ixtapa. We needed a safe place to leave Slow Dancer while we took a land trip and met our friends Jim and Laura from Nilaya. The marina is nice and secure, although a little unnerving as crocodiles are present. We were able to wash our decks and get laundry done through the office and a laundry service.

On Thursday, Feb 28, we taxied to the airport and boarded a plane to Mexico City. We met Jim and Laura there and headed out into the huge city. Mexico City is the second largest city in the world. It is divided into neighborhoods, which makes it a little easier to navigate. We stayed in an Air B&B in the Coyoacan neighborhood, which turns out to be really safe and beautiful.

We spent the next 3 days exploring the sites and enjoying the local restaurants and markets.
