A Visit to the U.S.

May 19 we boarded a taxi at the marina to the bus station, waited at the station with luggage and boarded a van to San Jose del Cabo’s airport.  The van ride was three hours and took us through some of Baja’s countryside that we had not seen.  We passed many small villages as well as some coastal areas that we saw from the sea.  We spent the next 2 1/2 weeks in CA, OR, WA and ID. We enjoyed our time with several family members and good friends and attended two of our grandkid’s high school graduations.
Our return trip on June 5 was highlighted by the eight pieces of luggage (boat gear) that we had to get to the airport, on board a flight, through customs (they always want their cut!), aboard a van and to the marina.  It was a great trip….now to leave LaPaz and venture into the Sea of Cortez for the summer.
