Santa Barbara – Continued

We have really enjoyed our week here! We walked on the beach, watched sailboat races, cruise ships, walked the pier, listened to a ukulele concert 🙂 and rode the electric trolley to downtown. The downtown area’s shops and stores are all done in a Spanish style giving it a great look. There are also some very old Spanish style missions. One very interesting thing to watch was all of the children taking sailing lessons after school. They dropped their backpacks on the dock and jumped into brightly colored sailing dinghies, sailed for a couple of hours and were led back into the dock tied to each other and pulled by their teacher in a motor boat. Lots of options for kids here! We loved the warmth and palm trees. Now on toward Paradise Cove to anchor then Santa Catalina Island and Avalon!
