On July 7, we hopped aboard a Delta airplane at the Princess Julianna Airport in St. Maarten. First stop was an overnight in Atlanta, followed by flights to Salt Lake City and Pasco. We cleared customs and immigration in Atlanta and walked what seemed like miles through the busiest airport in the U.S.
Finally in Pasco, we were met by our friends, Steve and Shirley, who graciously lent us their bright orange jeep for the month. This was truly a blessing since we had no idea how the medical appointments for Ken would play out.
After a brief visit at the airport, we were on our way to Lewiston and our new temporary residence at Dale’s mom’s house. This was our home base for all of the doctor’s appointments that would follow as well as visits with friends and family in the Lewiston/Clarkston area.

We also saw our granddaughter, Gracie, daughter, Holli as well as our grandson, Ashten and special friend, Jeni. Not a lot of pictures, but lots of hugs and good times. Several weeks went by with many appointments and procedures for Ken. In the end, we returned to St. Maarten with lots of meds and the promise that we will see our “local” cardiologist once settled.
Before leaving we spent a few days in the Tri-Cities visiting family and friends.

So good to go home, but also nice to go “home”. Now to get Ken healthy and get to work on Slow Dancer for our next cruising adventure.
